About

I am Brianna Clancy,

the mezzo-soprano with the messy bun!

I hold an M.M. in Opera from the University of Oklahoma and a B.A. in music from Luther College. I've studied classical singing in Italy and Austria, as well as conflict resolution in Ireland and the UK, and Spanish and History in Spain. I perform frequently in DFW with North Texas Opera on Tap, The Orchestra of New Spain, and Christ the King Catholic Church. I am excited to join the Fort Worth Opera Chorus for the 2022/2023 season, and I will be singing Dorabella in Opera Arlington's May production of Cosi fan tutte!

Messy Bun Mezzo Studios is my business, and I'm excited to be beginning my 6th year teaching and performing!

My voice students have participated in Allen High School musicals, AHS Encore, Texas All-State Choirs, North Texas Performing Arts Youth Productions, and even online recitals! They have been seen in shows such as Newsies, The Addams Family, Be More Chill, West Side Story, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Into the Woods, West Side Story, Avenue Q, Shrek, and Les Miserables.

If you're looking to find your voice, please don't hesitate to contact me! I take students ages 12 and up, and focus on breathing technique, musical literacy, and confidence building. My hope is that through voice lessons, my students will gain confidence in themselves and their abilities, and that they will leave my studio equipped with a healthy vocal technique that will enable them to find joy through singing throughout their lives.
